Helen Forster

Between 1999 and 2009 I was Head of Music at Amble Middle School ( currently James Calvert Spence College).  Whilst there I planned and taught music lessons to years five to eight. I also ran many extra-curricular groups including a choir, ceilidh band, recorder and penny whistle groups.  Each summer I organised a major musical production; shows such as 'Grease', Oliver!' and 'Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat' were challenging yet great fun to produce!

 

When my children were young I started teaching privately, and have taught a range of students for both maths and piano over the last 10 years. I currently teach maths one day per week at Sedgefield Community College as part of the COVID catch up tutoring program, and also teach music across several schools for Durham Music Service.
